This book is designed as a reference for medical professionals, doctors, nurses, etc. It is a superb addition to your home reference library. It is very technical in nature. It will allow you to discuss medical conditions with your doctor in a very detailed way. Be aware that there is a professional version of this book, as well as a "home edition". The home edition is very simplified and loses much of the value of the original. It has very detailed discussions of signs, symptoms, and causes of virtually every medical condition.
